It went by so unbelievably fast.
And now, it's 2016. Wow.
Last year, I refrained from talking about New Year's all together. I just didn't feel like it.
This year, I was going to do a recap of the year, and then go on to talk about some kind of list of resolutions.
Then, I decided no to. I decided that I would rather talk about something other than the best movie I saw this year (it's a tie between The Edge of Tomorrow and Mask) or the amount of books I read (I honestly have no idea).
I feel like so much rides on 2016. So much has happened to the world this year, and so much has happened in the world in the past twenty years.
We have so much to do this year.
Water and air pollution is reaching a very dangerous level.
Racism, sexism, and homophobia are still very present in the world. Even though they seem to be abolished in first world countries, they are not.
The wars, the illnesses, the terrorist attacks all continue to spread around different countries in the world.

There is so much riding on 2016, for the fate of humanity and the fate of the world.
What can we do? We can help. We can stand up for our beliefs and fight for our rights.Pay attention to classes like geography, so we can see what's going on in the world, and history, to make sure the events that have happened do not repeat themselves. Stay tuned with the latest sciences to learn about more ways to save the world.
There is so much I'd like to see happen this year, but I know we won't be accomplishing it soon. The paradise I seek won't happen for a long time, not in my lifetime. But I'll dedicate my life to making the world a better place.
It's time to light up the world.
I'll finish this post with a quote from Emma Watson, one of my favourite people of all time.
